A Life of Becoming

The scripture and lyrics for the 2022 youth theme really resonated with me and I feel they were inspired for us today.

5 ¶ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Our world is currently filled with chaos and fear. Jesus Christ is our source for peace, guidance, and happiness in our temporal and eternal life. Satan continually focuses on the bad and loves to complicate the simple and little things that keep us aligned and in-tune with the Spirit.

When we focus on Christ and put our trust in Him, He will direct our paths.

We won’t be blinded by the rain
The path we’re on is clear
There may be mountains on the way
But we choose faith, not fear
He opens our eyes, fills us with peace
Lifts up our weary souls
He is the light, and we’ll never be
We’ll never be alone

Verse 2, 2022 Youth Theme

The world is crumbling at our feet
The skies are filled with gray
The Savior’s calling to His sheep
And He will lead the way
We know His voice, we’ve heard it before
We know the words He says
He is the light, we’ll follow Him to the end

Though fires may burn and storms may rage
When darkness comes, we’ll find our way back home
We will trust in the Lord
Though tears may fall and friends may leave
We see His light, and that’s where we will go (Go)
